Blue-Tailed Damselfly(Ischnura Elegans)

A Damselfly that is common throughout the British Isles,the male is mainly blue in colour with the female carrying at least 5 different colour forms

This is possibly the commonest of all the Odonata species at Brandon Marsh,just walk through the River Meadow in the height of summer and you’ll see them in droves
